The staff of the Gassenküche are at work every day to alleviate the hardship of people in difficult life situations. In addition to a warm meal, the guests at the Gassenküche also find nourishment for the soul: community and a sense of security.
While we have set out to start as one institution, we have set firm goals. Providing orphans, homeless, orphaned children and needy people with any assistance. Be it financial or mental, we as a charity want to reach out to these people and build a bridge between the needy and donors.

After an epileptic episode, the life of the once healthy Jaros changed completely. The four-year-old has since needed round-the-clock care because he can no longer walk, eat or speak.

Donations will be used, for example, to help finance the recently procured operational boots for the Lindau Fire Department's North Station. The leather boots are specially approved for firefighting service and must meet various standards. However, since certain rubber boots can also meet this standard, only these are used as standard boots for cost reasons. But as they are poor insulators of cold and heat and often very uncomfortable, the firefighters from Lindau-Oberreitnau can now enjoy the benefits of modern leather operational boots.

Sea-Watch e.V. is a non-profit initiative dedicated to the civilian rescue of refugees at sea. In the face of the humanitarian catastrophe, Sea-Watch is providing emergency aid, at the same time demanding and pushing for rescue by the relevant European institutions and publicly advocating for legal escape routes. Since a political solution in the sense of a #SafePassage, which we are calling for, is not on the horizon at the moment, we have expanded our scope of action and made new plans. We are politically and religiously independent and are financed by private donations.

The team of "Ray of Hope" sees itself as an initiative with the aim of passing on some of its own happiness to people with little wealth, quality of life and loneliness. The tea room offers these people the opportunity to meet once a week in a friendly and warm atmosphere, to discuss problems, to experience togetherness and to share a meal. In addition to general support (going to the authorities, filling out forms, etc.), it is very important to provide individual support, which can usually last for a longer period of time. There are also regular excursions to Gelsenkirchen Zoo, to farmer Ewald's and barbecues. Up to 100 people (with children) take part in this.
